The Stroud family will provide a scholarship to support a student who is majoring in Child Development and who is also a parent and currently employed. Professor Linda Stroud was such a student at a community college. While attending college, she was a wife, mother and an employee of the college’s child development center. This combination brought a unique set of challenges as Professor Stroud managed many life roles at the same time. Because of these personal experiences, the Stroud Family has a deep respect and admiration for those students who have the additional responsibilities of working and being parents.
